Television Research Institute

More than 75 years the Television Research Institute (TRI) develop equipment for TV broadcasting. Since 2004 Alexander A. Umbitaliev (Prof., Dr. of Tech. Science) is the director of the enterprise.
Now, the Television Research Institute create equipment for digital TV and for HDTV. Among these the following:
- multifunctional mobile sets of the DVB standard;
- digital studio equipment systems;
- technical “know-how’s” of the DVB networks monitoring ;
- systems and devices for TV broadcasting system parameter measurement of the DVB standard, including ATP-3 Transport Stream Analyser of the MPEG 2/4 and Digital Television Test Signal Generator G-450.
The latest TRI project are the following:
- Autonomous multi-function receiving-transmitting sattaion of the DVB TV broadcasting standard.
- Multi-purpose Real Time Ultra High Performance Video Codec RVC-1.2. Encoding method using by Codec was awarded by the Gold medal of the 37th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Technics and Technologies.
